Jody Wirawan Interactive Biography The story of my brother Jody's life told in pictures, words, videos, locations, and other kinds of media. This was a project that my wife Jennifer and I did in honor of his birthday this year, but will be something that gets added to on a regular basis. The format of this biography is an interactive map and the more information and media that get's included in it the better it becomes.

tl;dr ----->Made an interactive story of my brother's life and it's all kinds of awesome so check it out.

Overstream I think closed captioning is an important and very underrated part of the development of the internet right now. Google's automatic captioning is coming along nicely but won't be there for a while imo and even then will still miss things that standard cc covers like context or things going on in the background. So until it can be done accurately, automatically, and dependably by computers it's up to people to enter the information by hand. Overstream has a list of the videos that I've captioned so far.

 Short History 



I was born in Michigan but spent most of my early childhood in Indonesia (my father's Indonesian, mother from the US.) My parents separated when I was 6 and afterwards I went back to live in America. The rest of my childhood was spent moving from place to place and experiencing many different kinds of poverty. We finally moved to Alaska when I was 15 and I left the household not long afterwards.

Around this time I met my (amazing, beautiful) wife Jennifer and we have been together ever since. We've been happily married for over eleven years now. My home is in Anchorage, Alaska where I like to spend time outdoors hiking/camping/biking in the summer and retreat behind the computer in the winter. Jennifer and I like to travel as much as possible and we recently visited Jakarta, Indonesia.

What does the future hold? Kids, travel, creativity.
